Type your words, pick a background or use your own photo, download it. No account, no watermark on your text, no upload: the picture is made by your own phone and never leaves it.

Your words

Text shrinks to fit on its own, so nothing ever runs off the edge however long you write or which typeface you pick.

Normal

Auto measures how bright the picture actually is behind the words and picks whichever reads. Use it when you drop in a dark photo.

Frame

Drops your photo inside a shape. Generic on purpose: no platform logos or interfaces, so nothing here looks like a screenshot of somebody else's app.

What this is, and what it is not

Made for one job

One text block, one background, four sizes. There are no layers to manage and nothing to drag into place, because every choice is already composed. You are done in about ten seconds.

Nothing leaves your device

The picture is drawn by your browser. Your photo is read locally and your words are never sent anywhere, so there is no account, no storage and nothing for us to lose.

Yours to use

Download it and do what you want with it. Our own lines are written here rather than quoted from anyone, so there is no attribution to chase and no rights to clear.

If a platform rejects your image for being too big

Switch the format to WebP and drop the quality to around 80. A card that is 250 KB as a PNG is usually under 60 KB as a WebP at 80, and on flat colour and text you will not see the difference. PNG is only worth it when you genuinely need transparency; for a card with a background it just triples the file for nothing.

There is no animated GIF here on purpose. GIF is limited to 256 colours, so every gradient on this site would come out in visible bands, and the files are far larger than a still image. It would be a worse result dressed up as an extra feature.

A note on words that are not yours: song lyrics, poems and published quotations belong to the people who wrote them, and putting one on an image does not change that. We do not supply any, and what you type is your call. Everything in Quick starts was written for this site.
